The seasons are shifting. Over here in the Northern Hemisphere, leaves are beginning to turn and drop; the light is beginning to fade.
And over there in the South, wild winds and snow are giving way to sunshine and delicious spring breezes.
Kids are going back to school, or off to university. People are leaving home, moving house, starting new jobs, changing their businesses.
Some of you may be starting new relationships, or ending old ones.
It's always changing. Everything always is. There is nothing so constant as change - so you may as well get on board.
But oh, how we resist!
The human mind is designed to keep us comfy and safe - and it hates when things change. We even resist positive change sometimes - how annoying of us!
But even though you may like the status quo - I know you don't really want things to stay the same. How boring that would be!
In order to grow, we must change. In order to create the rich, fulfilling life we dream of, some things will have to change. If they didn't, we'd simply have what we've got right now - never anything more. Booo.
We are always in a constant state of change. The very cells in your body are changing and regenerating all the time. You have a totally different liver, for example, than the one you had roughly a year ago (which is WILD, right?)
If you can embrace the changing seasons of your life, instead of fighting or blocking them - you'll free up SO much energy - and find more peace.
There is no change without change. Get on board and embrace it - go with the flow. As the saying goes: "Let go, or be dragged."
In my practice, I've found that flexible thinkers achieve the greatest ease and happiness in life. Those who are willing to change their minds.
Change your mind, change your energy - change your life.
HOW do you do this? With willingness, to start with - and with support, if you need it. A mentor, friend, accountability buddy, therapist or coach to remind you of what it is you really want - more than staying the same.
Yours coachingly,
P.S. Changing your mind is a skill - one that took me a long time and a lot of support to learn. Be patient with your lovely self while you learn.
